The UPF group at INIA/CSIC and MolPM group at Chemistry Department/UAM, are seeking for expressions of interest to apply for individual grants funded by the Madrid Regional Government and the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, to develop a thesis project related with PRIES-CM research line.
Prospect candidates must have (by September 2022) a bachelor’s degree in physics, chemistry or environmental sciences, and a post graduate specialization degree (e.g. MSc) in related areas; good knowledge of at least one programming language (Fortran 90, C, C++, Python, etc.); knowledge of quantum chemistry and molecular dynamics methods; Fluent English; enthusiasm for learning and commitment to teamwork. We will positively value any additional skills in the areas of organic chemistry, pesticide risk assessment, mathematics or physics which are relevant to the research topics.
Interested candidates should send a letter of motivation including the names of two referees who can be contacted for references, a CV, and copy of BSc/MSc academic transcripts. Selected candidates shall be contacted for an interview to agree on the preparation of the scholarship application. Deadline to submit applications is: September 4, 2022.
